Here is how I come up with a score and what I look for.
First is overall impression as I drive into the lot.
Next I view the condition of the entry area, is it clean, dirty, run down, well lit, welcoming?
Now the staff, are they glad I am there or am I a burden to deal with? Are they in neat clean uniforms of any kind, or is the uniform a dirty T shirt or whatever they were wearing last night? Did the staff respond to me quickly or was I ignored for a few minutes hoping I would just leave?
The menu is next, how is it presented? Is there a variety or variations of only a few items?
When I get my food, how is it presented? Does the plate look nice or just thrown together and sloppy? Is this an appetizing presentation?
Was my order cooked the way I asked? Is my food the correct temp. hot foods hot cold foods cold?
If it is a full service restaurant, did my wait staff clear my plates when I was finished eating, or did they just let them linger?
As time goes by I will clean this list up and expand it so you get a good Idea how I judge these businesses.
I will use crawfish to rate the restaraunt since it is a local food item and this is about local food servers. 1 crawfish only when desperate to 5 crawfish a great place to go for a great dinner. Be always on the look out for a rating of CRAWFISH ETOUFEE this will tell you that I HIGHLY recommend this establishment, they got it right and are a great place to go for a good meal.It will not happen often so be looking for it.
